Bath Bomb Ingredient Spotlight - Part Two

Posted by Jasmine Ash on

I thought it would be helpful if I release a series of blogs explaining why we use particular ingredients and what benefits they add to our bath bombs.

Today's spotlight ingredient is Citric Acid.

Citric Acid is found naturally in citrus fruits, especially lemons and limes. It is what gives them their very tart and sour taste.

It is commonly used as a form of preservative.

Citric Acid is one of the main ingredients in our bath bombs. The combination of Bicarbonate of Soda and Citric Acid creates the fizzing reaction when the bath bomb touches the water without it the exciting fizzing wouldn't be there.

It is said that it is an antioxidant that may help reduce the effects of aging, repair the skin and reduce inflammation.

I hope that you enjoy learning about each ingredient we use in our bath bombs.
