Bath Bomb Ingredient Spotlight - Part One

Posted by Jasmine Ash on

I thought it would be helpful if I release a series of blogs explaining why we use particular ingredients and what benefits they add to our bath bombs.

Today's spotlight ingredient is Bicarbonate of Soda.

Bicarbonate of Soda is a naturally occurring substance that is present in all living things, it helps things maintain the pH balance necessary for life.

Bicarbonate of Soda is the foundation of a bath bomb mix, without it you wouldn't have a bath bomb. It makes up a large part of a bath bomb and to that we add our other ingredients to make our bath bombs.

When you add Bicarbonate of Soda to water it gives the water and your skin a silky soft feeling.

It is said that it can also help with a whole range of skin issues such as; itching, dermatitis, eczema, fungal skin conditions and psoriasis.

It's also detoxifying which makes it great to get some of those toxins out of your skin and body.

I hope that you enjoy learning about each ingredient we use in our bath bombs.
